Gr@wl!x - A Digital Chat Story Comic App!

Thanks for checking out the Gr@wl!x page. As the app is currently under development, I'll be updating this post and all it's social media as we go through the project, so keep a look out to keep updated!

Every Gr@wl!x comic is told as bite-size chats and single comic illustration panels with every tap, as if you were reading a comic chat story. The idea was born out of the concept that a huge amount of people love to read in shorter formats and more and more people in our digital driven world read on their mobile and tablets.

Apps like HOOKED and YARN have created an awesome format of short story telling like reading a chat conversation (Chat Stories), although what you can access for free is quite limiting including be able to see pictures in the stories. This had got me thinking about another form of story that would lend itself beautifully to the chat story format...COMICS!

Comics are already told in small snippets of dialogue and creative images and what further fuelled my thoughts of creating a comic chat story app is that it would be a mobile enhanced, first of it's kind, way of reading a digital comic...I know I would like to be able to read my comics more casually digitally (with my favourites purchased in print!) but I'm just not completely comfortable with any of the current digital formats.

Gr@wl!x will merge these two concepts of reading! It will have the innovative, slick, tap to read, bit by bit, mobile enhanced reading experience. Champion independent creator comics of awesome storylines and packed full of professional art panels. Read whenever you want, as much as you want, on a range of FREE first issue comics and excellent value subscription options to access the full Gr@wl!x library and read to your hearts content.

Gr@wl!x champions independent works and gives independent creators a platform to publish their content on and reach new audiences but keep the rights and revenue shares to their own work. As well as a new channel to help promote and support their other work and content formats such as print and full digital comics.
